Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services(CMS) recommends against residents leaving the nursing home during this Public Health Emergency (COVID-19). We will continue to provide porch and window visits and facetime calls. We understand how difficult this is but the safety of our resident is our top priority.
Here at Greenbriar the care and safety of our residents and staff are of utmost importance.
We are complying with CDC and CMS recommendations by restricting visitation. End of life and compassionate care situations are an exception and we will work with families on case by case basis. While we know it is extraordinarily difficult to not see your loved ones, we want to take all necessary steps to protect our residents and staff. We are able to assist with face time chats, window visits, or other socially distant activities to help get you and your loved ones through this difficult time.
In addition to restricting visitors, we are taking the following precautions:
In addition to the above, we are in the process of obtaining a new system for our facility called Accushield. This new system will provide a kiosk at the entrance to the facility. Staff members, visitors, residents, and vendors complete a temperature check and health questionnaire before entering our building. Visitors and vendors will receive a badge for entry to the facility and must sign out before leaving. We will continue to keep you updated on the implementation of this system and visitations.
